Annie de Posson Annie was born in Antwerpen, Belgium on August 4th 1944. (de Posson is her family name which she uses for her Artwork) her married name is Annie Burton-Bulckens.
She is the great niece of the late Karel de Posson professor of Art and Sculpture at the Academy in Antwerpen, he was a well respected Artist/Sculptor in his own right, having created many works of Art for the City of Antwerpen. She is also the niece of the late Frank Bulckens aka Frank Posson, who immigrated to America in 1925 and studied at the Art Students League in New York Circa 1928
It was her Great Uncle Karel who taught her to paint when she was a child. Although Annie never pursued a career in the arts, she used her artistic training to design and manufacture jewelery in the WORLD FAMOUS DIAMOND DISTRICT of ANTWERPEN for over 20 yrs
Later, while spending many years in Africa with entrepreneur husband Allen, her fascination with the African People, Landscape and Animals awoke in her the desire to paint again.
On this site you will find Limited Edition Prints of various subjects, painted during Annie's stay in and many subsequent visits to Africa.
Annie attended the Merksem Academy of Arts near Antwerpen to learn the Art of Sculpture.
Annie and Allen now live in the beautiful village of TULBAGH in the heart of wine country in the Western Cape South Africa.
